As described in the Magarini Mangrove Participatory Forest Management Plan (2025–2030).
Successful protection of Magarini Mangrove Forest from illegal activities and threats depends on adequate security measures. The forest faces challenges including illegal extraction of mangrove products, forest fires, and general insecurity. Magarini Mangrove forms part of Jilore Forest Station, which currently has inadequate personnel, creating a need to strengthen security operations and enhance surveillance systems.

Magarini Mangrove Community Forest Association is a non-profit grassroots association dedicated to conserving mangrove forests, protecting biodiversity, and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
